Vintage

It's time for a new challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY and this week the Design Team were challenged to make a vintage style card, but as always the theme to enter is ANYTHING GOES.

Well this is sooo not my style, but having watched Nikky Hall on Hochanda recently, I took some inspiration from her use of papers and stamps.

So, here is my "vintage card"

The papers are from Winnie in Wonderland, I cut 2.5 inch squares and then edged them with distress ink and layered them onto Kraft and coral card.

I found the sentiment in the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles collection and added to a oval die in the silhouette studio, this was also edged with distress ink.

Next I stamped 2 butterflies from Daisy Days STAMP ME onto the Winnie wonderland paper and fussy cut them.

I then stamped them onto the oval and glued the fussy cut butterflies on top.

Finally I used a bubble stamp from the same collection and also some liquid pearls, round the edge of the oval.

Thanks for looking and I do hope to see your entries in the challenge this week.

Bubble Fairies

Today I had a go at making bubbles, with  home made stencil and my ink pads.

I used white, Pink and Blue inks on a black background.  I also used a white pencil around the edges and to create a shine effect.

All the stamps are by Lavinia Stamps.

I used  light blue embossing powder on the sentiment and added some glitter dots and stripes.

Crafty Calendar - Things with Wings
Just us Girls - Stencils
Sweet Stamping - Magic/Myth & Fantasy

Sparkle and Shine

I hope you all enjoyed the gorgeous bank holiday weather here in the UK, wasn't it lovely for a change!!

At DIGI CHOOSDAY this week, we are all about sparkle and shine, so I have added both to my project.

The image I have chosen is Ruby Celebrations and she is coloured with copics.

To add my sparkle I used some silver washi tape on the pearl grey background, matted and layered my image and added a couple of glitter stars.

For shine, I added glossy accents to the balloon.

Our challenge as always is ANYTHING GOES, or you can join the design team and add some sparkle or shine.
